101216.2 Teacher Aide Qualifications and Duties (e) An aide shall work only under the direct supervision of a teacher: (1) An aide who is 18 years of age or older, and who meets the requirements of this section and Section 101216, may escort and/or assist children in going to the bathroom, and may supervise napping children as specified in Section 101230(c)(1), without being under the direct supervision of a teacher.

Director will provide a statement stating they understand Teacher Aide Regulations and Duties to LPA via email at [email protected] Based on interviews conducted, and record review, the facility did not comply with the deficiency cited above in having the food specialist supervise napping children, which poses a potential risk to the health, safety and or personal rights of children in care.

101216.3 Teacher-Child Ratio (a) There shall be a ratio of one teacher visually observing and supervising no more than 12 children in attendance, except as specified in (b) and (c) below.

101226 Health-Related Services (d) The licensee shall maintain the following first-aid supplies in a location accessible to staff but inaccessible to children (1) A current edition of a first-aid manual, (2) Sterile first-aid dressings,(3) Bandages or roller bandages.(4)Adhesive tape.,(5) Scissors.(6) Tweezers. (7) Thermometer. (8) Antiseptic solution.

The licensee may use teacher aides in a teacher-child ratio of one teacher and one aide for every 15 children in attendance.

Based on observations and interviews collected the facility has been found to be out of compliance due to the following Facility will provide a signed statement by all staff. This signed document will verify all staff employed at the facility understand the aformentioned regulation cited today(101216.3(b). Also the facility will receive two unannounced visits by a Licensed Program Analyst. At 8:59AM LPA observed S#13,S#17 supervising 18 children in the "twos room". At 9:11AM LPA observed 19 children being supervsied by S#2, S#13 in the"twos room". Both instances the facility was found to be out of ratio. The two unannouced visits will be conducted with in the next 120 days from today.

The licensee shall ensure that personnel records are maintained on the licensee, administrator and each employee. Each personnel record shall contain the following information: (3) Date of employment.Documentation of the educational background, training and/or experience specified in this chapter. Licensee will email personal records of 4 qualified teachers. Those teachers will be selected by the departmennt by the end of 12/17/2024. Licensee will receive a email by the end of 12/17/2024.
