It was observed that a newly hired assistant child care teacher was not working under the supervision of a child care teacher with a group of children when the assistant child care teacher was left alone on the playground with school age children during nap time.

A person who is a program aid shall be least 16 years of age. A staff member under the age of 16 years old was hired to work in the program in the classrooms with children.

School age children on the playground during nap time were not supervised by a child worker who is within the sight and sound of the children to guide the children's behavior and activities prevent harm and ensure safety as staff were sitting on a picnic table looking at their phones.
