251.055(2)(b) · Staff-To-Child Ratios - Minimum

Rule states in pertinent part 'The ratio of child care workers to children may not be less than the minimum number of child care workers to children as detailed in DCF 251.' On this date, one staff person was outside with 23 children (ages 5 and older), while the second staff person was inside the school building cleaning up following snack time, for approximately 10 minutes. This took the second staff person out of ratio. Staff to child ratios are 1:18 for children over 5 years of age.
