During the onsite visit, the licensor observed a parent in charge of and unsupervised with program children and the licensor observed MERIT records for the parent and the parent does not have MERIT records for blood borne pathogen, CPR, first aid, food handlers, and basic training. The licensor observed the parent was in charge of and unsupervised with children when the the provider left the parent in charge and unsupervised when the provider was inside with the licensors, when the licensors were outside and the provider went back into licensed space leaving the parent in charge of and unsupervised with program children and when the provider left the premesis in her car, leaving the parent in charge of and unsupervised with program children. During the onsite visit, the licensor observed the back emergency exit gate on the outdoor play area did not have a self-closing and self-locking mechanism on the gate. 110-300-0355(3) · A family home licensee must not exceed the total capacity or age range stated on the child care license at any time except as provided in this section and WAC 110-300-0358. All children on the premises, signed in to child care, on an off-site trip from the early learning program, or being transported by the early learning program staff are counted in capacity including the children of staff. (a) A family home licensee must receive department approval to care for a child with special needs, pursuant to WAC 110-300-0300, if the child is older than the maximum age identified on the license.
