110-300-0165(2)(d) · An early learning provider must take steps to prevent hazards to children including, but not limited to: (d) Making inaccessible to children plastic bags and other suffocation hazards;
0165(2)(d) There was some plastic bags in the closet in the art and craft supplies. Dispute Description: This observation is extremely misleading as I did ensure items were out of Childrens reach and The WAC States (2) An early learning provider must take steps to prevent hazards to children including, but not limited to: Making inaccessible to children plastic bags and other suffocation hazards; I was not in violation of WAC 110-300-0165(2)(d). I took steps to ensure that plastic bags and other suffocation hazards were made inaccessible to children by storing them in a barricaded closet where they were positioned up high and, as a result, were not within the reach of children. This proactive measure effectively prevented any potential hazards related to suffocation as required by the regulation. I will email Travis Hanson as a need for clarification to this for additional support.
