During the course of a complaint inspection (see PC-443722), it was identified that one employee did not have the required DCYF qualifications, including a portable background check. The employee had been working in the classroom on a daily basis and was at times alone with children without the required background clearance. The employee obtained the required background check after being notified of the deficiency.
