6.1.4.2.1 · The amount of awake time children under twenty-four (24) months of age spend in any confining equipment, such as a crib, playpen, port-a-crib, swing, or seat shall be limited to less than thirty (30) minutes in any two (2) hour period.
An infant was in an exersaucer at 9:55am when the licensor entered the classroom for observation. After 15 minutes, the infant had their diaper changed, was placed back into the exersaucer and was then put directly into a bouncy seat a few minutes later. The infant was still in the bouncy seat at 10:35am when the observation ended. Infants may not be kept in confining equipment for more than 30 minutes in a two-hour period.

In the Bunny room there are two (2) cords within reach of children that are not secure and pose a strangulation hazard. The black shelf near the loose cords is not secure and is a tipping hazard. 5.4.1.4 · Cots, mats, and mattresses shall be nonporous or have nonporous coverings. Each child shall be provided clean, individual bed linens either by the licensee providing them directly or requiring parents to provide them. No child shall nap directly on nonporous coverings.
