There were bottles of cleaning products, such as disinfectant spray, Lysol spray and Clorox cleaner on the floor next to the washer machine. A young child was placed on the floor near the entrance of the laundry room and it was open to the kitchen. There was disinfectant spray in the bathroom cupboard that did not have a lock on the door. The children use the bathroom independently. This violation was cited previously on 9/29/2020 and 3/14/2022.

5.10.5.2.2 · For in ground or above ground pools or natural or manmade bodies of water accessible from the outdoor play area, the FCCP shall ensure that a fence is installed so that no child may gain access without FCCP and/or staff approval, observation and supervision. Fences around pools shall be at least four (4) feet high with a maximum vertical clearance of 3.5 inches at the bottom. Gates shall swing outward with self-closing and self-latching devices installed at least three (3) inches below the top of the gate on the side facing the pool/water. Gates shall be locked when not in use.

3.3.7.3 · Within six (6) months of initial date of employment, the FCCP and all staff shall maintain an up-to-date BFIS Quality and Credential Account. Documentation, verification of qualifications, and all annual professional development activities as specified in the rules sections 7.3 and 7.4 of these regulations shall be submitted to NLCDC to be verified and maintained in BFIS.

5.10.1.10.3 · All poisonous or toxic materials shall be inaccessible to children.
There were cleaning products and a household item with labels which state Keep Out of the Reach of Children which were located in reach of children in three areas assessable to children. There was a disinfectant spray located on the floor next to the toilet in the bathroom on the second floor which is the one used by children. This bathroom is located on the second floor and the provider said that one child goes upstairs to the bathroom independently. There was a large basket placed on the floor accessible to children in the room one must walk through in order to get this bathroom. It contained several cleaning supply labelled Keep Out of Reach of Children. The stairway to the second floor bathroom had several products located on some stair treads in reach of children including: Febreze spray, Clorox fabric sanitizer, Lysol disinfectant spray, Clorox bleach wipes, and two (2) containers of spackling all of which state Keep Out of the Reach of Children. The provider serves school aged children and said one preschool child goes upstairs independently to use the bathroom. This is a repeat violation previously cited: 9/02/2010, 5/07/2012, and 1/06/2014.

5.2.3.11 · Each diaper changing procedure shall include: * Preparation: assemble supplies, staff member washes hands, prepares changing surface with either a disposable covering or ensure that the surface was recently cleaned and disinfected and bring the child to the diaper changing area. * Dirty Phase: remove soiled diaper and cleanse diaper area of the child. * Clean Phase: put on clean diaper, dress child, and wash the child's hands. * Clean up: clean and disinfect the diaper changing surface, dispose of diaper, and staff member washes their own hands. * Record diaper change.
