On 8/11/2025 a child was left inside a classroom for approximately 10 minutes while the rest of the classroom was outside on the playground. The program reported this incident to the parent/guardian and to the Child Development Division as required. In addition, the program reported a child was left unsupervised in the same classroom on 2/25/2025. The program Licensee and Director implemented new practices, placed staff on probation and provided staff training to ensure that children will not be left unsupervised again. This is a serious violation.

A child was asked to wait by the door of the preschool classroom while the teacher went to the cubby area to gather sweatshirts and coats. The child left the classroom, walked down the stairs and exited the building through the kitchen door. The teacher on the playground saw the door open and only the child by the outside door. The teacher who was in the classroom looked for the child in the building before noticing the child was outside on the playground. The child was not supervised for approximately one (1) to one and a half (1.5) minutes.
