6.2.6.1 · Staff shall be able to hear all children of pre-kindergarten age and younger at all times, shall be able to see the children with a quick glance, and shall be able to physically respond immediately.

On 12/21/2022 a child remained in the building on their rest mat while other children and adults went outside to the playground. For a period of approximately 20 minutes, the staff did not realize that the child was not outside with the group. There was a staff person in the program space with the child during some of the time preparing for lunch, though for a period of 5-6 minutes when the staff member left the building to get lunch, the child was in the space alone.
