It was observed that two (2) nap mats, which were covered with their sheets, were lined up between the couch and the wall in the living room. The sheets were touching one another. The provider stated that they were the sheets the children had used the week prior. It is required that each child's bedding is stored in a way to prevent touching one another. This is a repeat violation previously cited on 8/23/19.

It was observed that the nap mats, which were covered with their sheets, were lined up between the couch and the wall in the living room. The sheets from one childs mat was touching the next, and so on. The provider stated that some children bring their own blankets, but for those that do not, they grab blankets from around the house for the children to use. It is required that the bedding be individual to each child and is stored in a way that prevents each child's bedding to touch another child's bedding.

7.4.1 · The FCCP shall ensure that within six (6) months of starting work in the FCCH, the FCCP and/or staff have an Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP). This shall be documented in the individual's BFIS Quality and Credential Account or in the staff file on site. IPDPs shall be updated at least once every 365 days.

6.2.5.2 · The FCCP and/or staff's expectations of children's behavior and responses to children's behavior shall be appropriate to each child's level of development and understanding. Guidance shall be designed to meet the individual needs of each child.
While in their pack and play, Rachel observed a child climb to the top and straddle the opening, creating a bridge with their body as their hands and feet were balanced on either side of the pack and play. Rachel took a picture of the child and posted it to a provider group Facebook page before removing the child from this position.

5.10.4.5.1 · The FCCP shall ensure that the FCCH, its furnishings, and toys are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
It was observed that toys and materials covered the top of a table in the living room. The kitchen table contained toys and an infant seat, along with several books and papers reducing the amount of space children had access to for meals or play. Rachel reported that the excessive amount of materials accessible to children was difficult to keep up with and maintain in an orderly fashion.
