6.2.6.2 · Staff shall know the whereabouts and activities of all school age children at all times and shall be able to physically respond immediately.
A staff member went outside from the classroom door with a few children who followed her as she was releasing a spider found in the classroom. The staff member closed the door leaving one preschool child outside with an older group of children. This staff member was not aware the child was left outside until the staff who was outside knocked on the preschool classroom door and the child was brought inside. The child was outside for approximately one minute.
