5.4.1.8 · Bedding used by a child shall be stored in a manner that prevents contact with bedding used by other children.

It was observed that the nap mats, which were covered with their sheets, and blankets were in a pile in the corner of the childcare, next to the tv and window. The sheets from one child s mat were touching the next, and so on. The provider stated that she does have individual bags for each child but was in a hurry and did not have time to separate them. It is required that the bedding be individual to each child and is stored in a way that prevents each child's bedding to touch another child s bedding.
