    8VAC20-780-270-A · Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a safe and condition. Unsafe conditions shall include, but not be limited to, splintered, cracked or otherwise deteriorating wood; chipped or peeling paint; visible cracks, bending or warping, rusting or breakage of any equipment; head entrapment hazards; and protruding nails, bolts or other components that could entangle clothing or snag skin.

    The following safety hazards were observed inside of the facility: metal and wooden coat hooks located in classrooms and hallway areas are a protrusion hazard, accessible sharp kitchen utensils and plastic grocery bags were stored in unlocked cabinets in the kitchen which is open and accessible to the preschool classroom. The outdoor climbing structure has multiple areas of cracks in the plastic which are a pinch point hazard.
