Evidence: Staff have placed child size chairs over top of children laying on napping mats when the children have been restless and would not lie still during naptime. The following was reported and/or reviewed in documentation received: 1. Staff reported observing staff #2 and staff #3 put a chair over a child while the child was laying down for naptime. Staff reported this was done when a child ?wasn?t still? for naptime. Staff stated sometimes the chair was put over the child?s legs and sometimes the chair was put over the child?s legs and torso. Staff stated she has observed this happen multiple times per week. 2. Staff reported observing staff #1 put a weighted blanket and chair over a child?s legs during naptime because ?it helps her not to wiggle?. 3. Staff reported being told by staff #3 to place a chair over a child during naptime to keep them from moving around. 4. Photograph shows a child laying on their back on a napping mat with a child sized chair over the bottom half of the child with the front chair legs on either side of the child?s waist. 5. Photograph shows a child laying on their stomach on a napping mat with a child sized chair over the child?s back with the front chair legs behind the child?s armpit and the back chair legs on the side of the child?s legs.
