member completed a national fingerprint check prior to the first day of employment and within the required time frame. Evidence: 1. The national fingerprint check for Staff #4, hired on 01/03/2024, was dated 01/25/2024 exceeding the first day of employment. 2. The director acknowledged the fingerprints background check was not completed prior to employment.

Evidence: 1) The record for Staff #2, employed 09/07/2023, indicated the staff had resided in three additional states outside of Virginia within the last five years. 2) The record for staff #2, employed 09/07/2023, did not contain a criminal history record information check or a search of the child abuse and neglect registry for the three additional states. 3) The out-of-state criminal history record information check is required to be obtained prior to hire. The out-of-state search for founded complaints of child abuse or neglect is required to be requested within the first 30 days of being employed. 4) The director confirmed the required out-of-state checks were not requested for Staff #2.
