The center documented that S4 ??physically turn the child around at the handwashing station in a manner that appeared forceful?. The form further documented that S4 ??was re-educated on the center?s polices and expectations regarding physical contact with children. He was reminded that staff are to use verbal communication and positive guidance strategies when interacting with children and that physical redirection is not permitted.?

Evidence: On 08/14/2024, at approximately 3:36 licensing inspector entered the Infant 3 classroom and observed no staff in the classroom and there was a 10-month-old infant asleep in a crib and a 2-year-old child sitting in an adaptive wheelchair. The exterior door of the classroom to the playground was open. The staff returned to the classroom within a minute of the licensing inspector entering the classroom. Staff acknowledged she had stepped out of the classroom to the playground.

During the video, S1 did not provide any behavioral guidance to the child.

The licensing inspector entered the Infant II room at approximately 8:19 a.m. and observed 13 infants being cared for by 3 staff members. The staff acknowledged the room was out of ratio when licensing inspector entered the room as well as other times on other days. A fourth staff member entered the classroom at approximately 8:23 a.m.
