The center representative, staff #1 and staff #2 stated that child #1 only sleeps in a mechanical swing or a staff member?s arms 3. Staff #1 and staff # 2 both confirmed that child #1 sleeps in a mechanical swing with a blanket during most naps. 4. The American Academy of Pediatrics state that sleep should be avoided in a ?seating device, like a swing? and ?keep loose blankets, pillows, stuffed toys, bumpers, and other soft items out of the sleep space.?

Evidence: The letter of exemption states that no more than five children under the age of two and one half are allowed at any one time. During the 02/01/2023 inspection, seven infants (six weeks to 16 months) were being cared for by two staff members in the infant Room and eight Toddlers (17 months to 23 moths) were being cared for by two staff members in the toddler Room. The infant and toddler rooms do not have classroom doors that lead directly to the exterior.
