- Violation
8VAC20-780-270-A · Based on observation, interviews and a review of documentation, not all areas of the center inside and outside were maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. Evidence: the HVAC system for part of the building including the infant and toddler classrooms, kitchen and office area has not been operational since approximately June 6, 2024. On or around June 25, 2024 an emergency work order for portable AC units was placed, and they were installed in the infant and toddler classrooms and in the kitchen/front office area. The portable AC units have cords and cables that are accessible to children in care, and the unit in the infant room has a cable cord cover on the floor that is a crawling/tripping hazard. The units extract condensation, that pours into the food prep area sinks in the infant and toddler classroom, so the sinks cannot be used at this time.
