On the Pre-K/School age playground, there was 1/4 inch of mulch 10 inches in front of the double slides, the partially enclosed slide and the climbing rungs to access the composite play structure. 2. On the Infant /Toddler/Two year old playground there was 1 inch of mulch, 10 inches in front of the red slide. 3. Once mulch degrades and turns to soil, it is no longer a resilient surface.
