22VAC40-185-240-D-4 · Based on record review and director statement, children with emergency medication were not always be in the care of a staff member or independent contractor who meets the requirements of medication administration training.

Evidence: On the date of inspection two children had emergency medication present at the center. There is no staff currently employed at the child day center who have a current medication authorization training. According to a statement by the director, Adult 1 has previously been certified but the certification has expired and the expired certificate could not be produced on the date of inspection.
