On January 6, 2026, Child #1 (age 6) reportedly informed staff they were not feeling well and did not appear to be acting like their normal self. Due to child #1 making noises in her sleep at rest time, staff #1 took the child?s temperature. Despite the child reportedly having a normal temperature, staff informed the child?s authorized pick-up person when they arrived to pick the child up that they were making noises in their sleep and ?acting funny.? Staff did not immediately contact any parent or emergency contact of the child?s abnormal behavior. Immediately following pick-up, the child received emergency medical care related to their breathing and was hospitalized as a result.

Teacher #1 stated that she heard crying and when she returned, another child was on top of child #1. Child #1 (age 12 months) sustained multiple bite marks and abrasions to the face and lower arms. Child #1 received medical care to treat the injuries on 8/22/2022. 2. The administrator acknowledged that the children in care were not adequately protected when teacher #1 left the room.
