A caregiver did not demonstrate competency when she ignored a food allergy notification that is posted in the room. She was aware that the child is only supposed to eat food brought from home. She was seen on video giving the child a cookie that was bought by the facility. As a result the child had an allergic reaction and was taken to urgent care. There were two other incidents where the allergy notification was ignored. The same child was given a snack food that contained milk. The sibling, also allergic to milk was given a product containing milk. These actions also resulted in an allergic reaction.
