Another child was placed in time out for eight minutes, and a third child was sent to the table to “put his head down” because he was not sitting still. Plan of Corrective Action: The agency states that all teachers and management have a schedule supervision training on 4/10/2019 via DHS/CCR&R. This is to improve and continue training/education on how to best manage a full classroom of children, supervise a full classroom while keeping safety a #1 priority, appropriate lengths of time and proper ages for time out and/or redirection, and tips on more creative ways to interact with the children while making learning fun. There will also be a mandatory all-staff in conjunction with supervision training. Re: these issues and for any questions/concerns/thoughts teachers have so they are up to date. All teachers and management will be brought into the management office to take some time to watch and review themselves and their interactions with the children. This should give each teacher/ floater the ability to recognize what, if anything, they could be doing or not doing to better their classroom, the children's experiences, and their own professional development. Management will be conducting regular evaluations which will include more video observation, discussion of professional growth, and goals/outcomes for each teacher.
