  On 6/27/25, it was reported that an educator tied a one year old child's shoes so tightly that it caused blue and purple bruises on his feet. The educator reported that she tied the child's shoes tightly because they kept coming off of his feet.

The visit conducted today included monitoring of the agency's compliance with Licensing Rules and Regulations and the investigation of a complaint. The educator reported that she tied the child's shoes tightly because they kept coming off of his feet. On 7/17/25, educator Tawanna Stevenson confirmed that she is in the habit of wearing her earbuds while in the classroom, as alleged in the complaint.

The investigation has been completed by the LC. The strategies were utilized as mentioned above provided sufficient evidence that the allegations are valid. See site visit on 7-2 for detailed information.

Infants are fed items that are appropriate for their age and chewing abilities. There are some 15- and 16-month-olds in the infant room at this time who can (and do) eat table food. Parents may speak with the room educator/child's direct caregiver any time they wish. Timecards and sign-in sheets indicate that the agency has not been understaffed. Interviews with administration and educators indicate that the infant room is at capacity of 8 and that there are at least two educators on duty at all times. Evidence provided does not indicate there are any violations.
