LC and SIU observed a child sitting in a high chair with no activity upon arrival in the 12-30 month-old room. The LC returned to the same classroom approximately 20-25 minutes later and the same child was still in the high chair, eating veggie straws. The educator explained as the children awake, they are placed in a high chair so they will not disturb the other children. LC will make a referral to CCR&R for assistance and ideas regarding quiet activities/or ideas on a new room arrangement that will alleviate those waking from disturbing those still sleeping.
