0520-12-01-.06 PROGRAM OPERATION. (3) Each program shall adhere to the maximum group size and adult: child ratios required by this chapter. (a) The adult: child ratios shall be maintained by the program while the children are indoors and on the playground. (d) Any number of children in excess of the adult: child ratio requires a second qualified adult teacher; provided, however, that the maximum group size shall not be exceeded. On February 21, 2019, PE Williams conducted an announced visit to the program and found the ELOP program out of compliance according to the rules in this Chapter. PE Williams observed the adult: child ratio 1:35 with 40 students enrolled in the program @ 3:15 p.m. until PE Williams concluded the visit at 4:15 p.m. The director stated and had emails to show she has requested additional staff for the program and her ELOP monitor was aware of the situation as well because she had spoken to her about it also. The director stated she had staff to quit and has sent in recommendation paperwork for potential new hires and has been awaiting feedback from administration on when someone can be on boarded. The visit had to be cut short so that the director could meet ratio 4:15 p.m. leaving the program with an adult: child ratio of 2:35.
