On March 4, 2025, The Gentlemen and Ladies Academy, Inc. failed to properly report/notify DHS or DCS of the current complaint regarding a child leaving the playground unsupervised and going onto the parking lot. The child ran into the street and was almost hit by an oncoming vehicle. The child was subsequently returned to the childcare facility by a person who was present nearby.

On March 11, 2025, LC Fant, interviewed the parent of the child that was seen leaving the playground area, running around in the parking lot of the facility, before being returned to a staff member of the agency by an unknown stranger. During the interview, the parent stated the incident report she received from the agency was not an accurate account of what occurred while her child was at the agency. There was no information that included that her child left the playground area onto the parking lot unattended.
