The visit conducted today included monitoring of the agency's compliance with Licensing Rules and Regulations and scoring of the QRIS and Complaint Investigation. Technical Assistance Provided: 1. Papertowel holder in one classroom needs to be secured to the wall. 2. Cords for laptop/computer speakers need to be inaccessible to the children. 3. Playground rules need to be child-oriented (use pictures) and posted at the children's eye level. 4. Classroom rules need to be on the child's eye level. 5. Prep changing table prior to placing a child on the table. This prevents the educator from putting the child at risk of falling off the table while the diapering supplies are being gathered. 6. Discussed storing mats/bedding separately in a way that prevents bedding from cross-contaminating each other. 7. Ensure that all classrooms have real-life pictures of places, objects, and animals posted. 8. Some lesson plans need to include parent involvement, health and safety, and TN-ELDS. 9. Summary Complaint Investigation Visit - #PCS1001702 & #PCS1001701 The visit conducted today included monitoring the agency's compliance with Licensing Rules and Regulations. Technical Assistance provided: 1. Not placing anything heavy on rolling carts. 2. A referral to CCR&R will be made via e-mail to assist with room arrangement and adding age-appropriate equipment. 3. Opening curtains in the infant room to allow more light in order to observe sleeping infants. 4.
