See Below for Detailed Information Observation: During a safety plan monitoring, follow up visit, and complaint investigation visit on 04/11/19 Child Care Program Evaluators (CCPE) Jones and Swearington observed that the agency served milk to the 4-5 year old classroom in 5 oz cups that were filled halfway. USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) nutritional guidelines State that 3-5 year old children should be served 6 ounces of milk at meals. 1240-04-01-.13 FOOD AND FOOD SERVICE To Correct: Agency will begin using 6-8 oz. cups and serve 6 ounces to begin the meal. Observation: During a safety plan monitoring, follow up visit, and complaint investigation visit on 04/11/19 Child Care Program Evaluators (CCPE) Jones and Swearington observed that the 12-18 month classroom had shelves turned around with toys inaccessible to the children and when reviewing the footage from 4/10/19 the shelves and toys on the shelves were not accessible to the children during most of the footage reviewed. PE had previously seen this behavior at the 3/18/19 visit and gave the agency TA about keeping the toys available for children and keeping the shelves turned around. 1240-04-01-.14 EQUIPMENT FOR CHILDREN. To Correct: Agency will leave all of the centers open and accessible to children throughout the day. Observation: During a safety plan monitoring, follow up visit, and complaint investigation visit on 04/11/19 Child Care Program Evaluators (CCPE) Jones and Swearington observed video footage from 4/10/19 and observed that a child in the 12-18 month classroom who was in a booster chair, buckled in, was not properly supervised during lunch because the educator turned her back to him while feeding other children and could not easily turn to see him and the other educator was across the room with her back to the table. Educators also stood up and turned their backs to the children multiple times during the meal even though two educators were present and the meal time supervision plan states that one educator will sit with the children throughout the meal. Violation: 1240-04-01-.11 Supervision To correct: Agency will make sure that the meal plan is being followed and that the educator is able to visualize the children at all times.
