Observation: Based on 4/14/2022 face to name transition sheets, eleven (11) children ranging in ages from 11 months old to 24 months old were combined in a classroom until 8:49 a.m., when another toddler classroom opened for the day. Children under thirty months (30) cannot be combined for the first/last 1 ½ hours of the agency’s day. The agency was also over the adult: child ratio by one child when referring to Adult: Child Ratio Chart 2 as the maximum group size is 10 children with two adults for this age group. Observation: Based on 4/14/2022 face to name transition sheets, fifteen (15) children ranging in ages from three (3) years old to five (5) years old were combined in a classroom until 9:00 when the preschool classroom opened for the day. 1240-04-01-22 Specific Requirements for Child Care Centers Corrected Plan: All classrooms will be open by 7:30 a.m. The agency plans to temporarily close one of the toddler classes in order to remain in adult:child ratio and age grouping.

Technical Assistance Provided: 1. Contact TNPAL at 1-615-277-1688 or Support@tnpal.org regarding staff who are not linked to the agency in TNPAL and for staff whose trainings are not appearing in TNPAL. 2. As of 6/21/2023, all (new and previous to this date) educators as defined by Licensure Rules for Child Care Agencies are required to complete the TCCOTS Pro-Solutions Licensure Rules and Regulations Training found at, https://www.prosolutionstraining.com/tn/ under the tab labeled, TCCOTS Organizational Development and Administration. New staff are required to complete the training as a part of their orientation prior to having unsupervised contact with children. Previous staff have until 9/30/2023 to have the training completed. 3. All trainings for the QRIS cycle have to be completed by 9/30/2023. Refer to pages 23 and 24 of the DHS Child Care Licensing Rules regarding annual trainings for director, assistant director, and educators. 4. Complete a change report in e-licensing monthly if needed to reflect new hires and staff who are no longer employed with agency. 5. A TAM referral will be requested by licensing consultant. 6. Create a checklist for staffs' files to ensure all required documentation is on file.
