OBSERVATION: The educator in the 1 year old room was at the sink while the children ate breakfast. Later on the educator was observed sweeping the floor while one child was still eating at the table. In the 4 year old room a child was playing on the carpet while drinking milk out of her cup. The educator seated the child at the table. A few minutes later the child had the cup and was moving around in the room, drinking out of her cup while walking. Children were left unsupervised while eating. 1240-04-01-.11 Meal and Snack Time Supervision. COMPLIANCE: During meal and snack time all staff need to be seated while children are eating. Their focus will be on children eating and not on other task.
