During the complaint investigation, 3 employees stated a teacher had a cup of hot coffee in the classroom on a low table/desk within a child's reach. 1240-04-01-.12 HEALTH & SAFETY Plan of Corrective Action: On 12/4/2020, all staff signed a document stating hot beverages and beverages without lids are not allowed in the classroom. The director has also requested training from CCR&R to cover Health & Safety licensing rules. 1240-04-01-.11 SUPERVISION Observation: A serious injury report was submitted concerning a child that spilled hot coffee on themselves in the classroom.During a serious injury investigation, an educator admitted to sitting a cup of hot coffee on a low table where a child was able to reach it and knock it over on themselves. Plan of Corrective Action: On 12/9/2020, all employees signed a statement that reviewed the Supervision licensing rules. The director also requested supervision training from CCR&R.
