Observation: The educator belongings were left on a table in the cafeteria where they were accessible to the children. Hazards must be inaccessible as required. The violation was corrected on site. 1240-04-01-.12 HEALTH AND SAFETY. Corrective Action: PE gave technical assistance to the Director who completed a Plan of Corrective Action. The Director will address the issue at a staff meeting this date. The educators will be reminded that belongings must be out of the reach of children as there could be hazards the children would have access too. The Director and/or educators will do a sweep prior to the children arriving to ensure that all hazards are seen and removed.

Observations: A 7 year old child left the group without an educator being aware while the group finished snack. The level of supervision was not adequate to know the whereabouts of each child and to intervene as required. 1240-04-01-.11 SUPERVISION. Corrective action: Technical Assistance was provided to the Director on supervision while one educator is supervising snack and having conversations. Placement of the educator in a different area where all children could still be seen was discussed.
