The visit conducted today to monitor all high risk violations, conduct a joint complaint investigaiton and weekly safety plan checks. Technical Assistance Provided: 1. TA given on using safe sleep timer for all sleepign infants rather than using the clock 2. TA given on adding the daily charge per child if the agency provides a lunch. Violations were received and include: 1. A child was observed in a crib with a blanket. Correct Action Plan (CAP) completed. Corrective action plan was discussed. Violation details can be observed below. 1240-04-01-.11 SUPERVISION. (7) Safe Sleep Supervision Procedures. (a) To reduce the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID), including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), suffocation and other sleep-related deaths, child care agencies shall follow safe sleep practices. 5. Soft bedding is prohibited and includes, but is not limited to, pillows, bumper pads, blankets, quilts, comforters, stuffed toys, and other soft items; A child was observed in a crib with a blanket.
