Observation: An epinephrine pen was out of date since 11/19 and had not been returned to the parent as required. 1240-04-01-.12 HEALTH AND SAFETY. Corrective Action: PE discussed the violation with the Assistant Director and gave TA. A POCA was completed and the center plan will be that the Director, Ms. Kelly, Asst. Director Richards, and Ms. Turned will document on their calendars when medications expire to ensure they are returned to the parent.

Observation: The three year old classroom did not have 1st aid information displayed as required. (corrected on site) 1240-04-01-.12 HEALTH AND SAFETY. Corrective Action: The Director when told immediately took another 1st aid flip chart to the room. The POCA was completed after TA. The Director will add to the end of day closing of the rooms that the educator must see the 1st aid information.

Observation: The center had not completed a fire drill in April and had not reviewed their plan as required. 1240-04-01-.18 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS. Corrective Action: A Plan of Corrective action was completed onsite. The agency will conduct two fire drills in May to replace April's drills. The drills will be placed on the Director's calendar monthly.

Observations: Two epi-pens were in the center without the proper paper including the parents permission and physicians action plan. One was out of date and not in the original container as required. 1240-04-01-.12 HEALTH AND SAFETY Corrective Action: PE provided technical assistance regarding medications being in the center without direction from the parent and physician. The Director will not accept medications without paperwork in the future and parents will be reminded in person and in the newsletters.

Copies of high school (or higher) diplomas are required as proof that caregiver qualifications are met. 1240-04-03-.05 OWNERSHIP, ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION Corrective Action: Director will get copies of diplomas for all employees and put them in the staff files, to prove that all caregivers meet required qualifications to care for children.
