See Below for Detailed Information Observation: The caregiver took an infant with her from the classroom to the kitchen area where children were not allowed. The caregiver was holding the infant as she prepared her rice cup in the microwave and while she stirred and consequently spilled the rice cup on the counter and on the baby’s leg. 1240-04-03-.11 FOOD. Observation: While both caregivers were in their infant classroom, they were in ratio of two caregivers to 8 infants. However, when one caregiver left her room with one child to walk down the hall into the kitchen, the remaining seven infants were left with one caregiver . The correct adult to child ratio for this age grouping is one adult with a maximum of (4) children. 1240-04-03-.06 SUPERVISION. Observation: The director failed to ensure the health and safety of the children in care when a (4) month old was taken into the kitchen while a caregiver was preparing food. The director is responsible for ensuring staff are properly trained and in compliance with licensing regulations at all times. 1240-04-03-.07 STAFF. Observation: Caregiver took the 4 month old infant into the kitchen while she prepared a cup of Minute Rice for herself. While she was stirring her rice, it was spilled on the counter and on the baby’s leg causing a burn and blister on the baby’s leg. 1240-04-03-.03 BASIS FOR ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE.
