Observations: The Pre-K room had electric cords exposed to the children and not inaccessible as required. This was corrected on site. 1240-04-01-.14 EQUIPMENT FOR CHILDREN Corrective Action: The Educator in Charge and the teacher moved the CD player and electric charger cords for the walkie talkies and the teacher will use batteries to operate the CD. The walkie talkies will be taken to Ms. Davis office to charge every evening. The violation was corrected.

Observations: The School age rooms had televisions that were not secured or supported as required. 1240-04-01-.14 EQUIPMENT FOR CHILDREN. Corrective Action: PE gave Technical Assistance and discussed the rule regarding heavy equipment being supported or secured. The Plan of Corrective Action was completed. The Director will remove the television sets today until it can be determined the best way to secure them.

Observation: PE observed an epi-pen and Benadryl in the school age classroom. The action plan was there for the epi-pen but there was no parent permission given. The epi-pen was out of date by a year.The Benadryl did not have any paperwork. In a pre-school room an epi-pen was out of date by a year and did not have any paperwork. 1240-04-01-.12 HEALTH AND SAFETY. Corrective Action: The Director placed the medication in her office to return to the parents. A Plan of Corrective Action was completed after CCPE gave technical assistance. The center will not accept medications without the paperwork, action plan by a physician and check to make sure it hasn't expired.
