(c) The outdoor areas where children play or are cared for shall be properly maintained and a written playground maintenance plan shall be prepared by the program to address routine, remedial, and preventive maintenance, and to designate who is responsible for each maintenance need The outdoor area was littered with trash and debris. One piece of climbing equipment is cracked and in need of repair. The barrier used to contain the pea gravel surfacing is broken and has shifted out of place, posing a trip hazard. The uncontained gravel was scattered and spread over the concrete areas for riding toys. The school maintenance team will clean and repair the areas before the children return from spring break.
