See Below for Detailed Information Observation: During a complaint investigation, video footage was reviewed that showed an educator picking a child up, grabbing the upper arm forcefully, and pulling him to time out. 1240-04-01-.15 PROGRAM, LANGUAGE, AND LITERACY DEVELOPMENT Corrective Action: The agency has provided behavior management guidance/physical conduct with children. The educator will be trained in practices. Observation: During a complaint investigation, video footage was reviewed that showed an educator putting a child in time out for an unreasonable length of time. 1240-04-01-.15 PROGRAM, LANGUAGE, AND LITERACY DEVELOPMENT. Corrective Action: Educator was re-trained in proper discipline practices and certificate of completion in file. The educator is scheduled to complete training in emphasizing redirection first before administering time out. If time out is necessary, the agency will implement time out for one minute per the child's age.
