Summary of Complaint Visit The visit conducted today included monitoring of the agency's compliance with Licensing Rules and Regulations and to investigate a complaint. Technical Assistance Provided: 1. Record Keeping-will work on a system and discussed requirements for staff files and uploading into the TNPAL 2. Equipment-Television was not secure. Discussed how to secure. 3. Ratios, age groups, and number of staff were reviewed. 4. Staff daily time in/out being recorded for each week. If any violations were received, details can be observed in the compliance details section of the visit along with corresponding corrective action plans. There was no proof of education located in the TNPAL system or in the educators file. Electronic copies were provided before leaving the agency. The agency could not provide past staff records which included days staff worked with time in/out. Each child shall be on roll in a defined group and assigned to that group with a specific educator(s). The agency director stated that she does change what children are in the classrooms depending on the enrollment. Children were being moved to other classrooms or swapping rooms during the observation. There was no roll reflecting the assigned group to a specific educator.

The toddler room did not meet adult/child ratio. The ratio in the toddler room should be 1:6 and was 1:7. There were 2-3 year olds in one classroom. The ratio observed in this classroom was 1:16, the adult child ratio for this room should be 1:8.

The educator was observed telling children to stop using materials inappropriately, told to sit down, not to climb on the furniture.
