When LC arrived the director was bringing a group of students inside. She did not do name-to-face but counted them. As the LC was following the director and class inside the LC noticed a child run up from the playground area, The director had her back turned to that child. LC waited to see if the child was with another class but it became clear that the child was in that classroom. The LC had to ask the director if the child was in her classroom. The director said yes they were but she was distracted because we (the LCs) showed up during transition time. The LC was told that it was only the director there that day with that class. When the LC asked about the second building used for the center, the director told the LC that there were two classes with kids in that building. LC then went to do ratios for each classroom. LC found that the center was out of compliance and not in ratio.
