Observation: One classroom had 14 children ages 4 years through school age with one educator. The 4 year old was supposed to be in the classroom next door with children ages 2.5-4 years. They were out of ratio and not following grouping rules. 1240-04-01-.11 SUPERVISION and 1240-04-01-.22 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILD CARE CENTERS Corrective Action: Once the 4 year old child returned to his own classroom they were back in compliance with all supervision regulations. Program Evaluator provided technical assistance regarding the rules and a plan of corrective action was developed with director/owner. Staff will review ratio and grouping rules.

During this time a parent arrived to pick up her child and also was not given immediate access.
