While conducting a visit in response to a complaint investigation PS Barnes observed a child seated alon at a table eating her lunch while the educator was assisting the rest of the children onto their mats to prepare for nap time.

Summary of Complaint Visit The visit conducted today included monitoring of the agency's compliance with Licensing Rules and Regulations and complaint investigation. Multiple violations were cited today. Both the preschool and the toddler classes were on the playground at the same time. There is not an appropriate time for children under the age of 30 months to be combined with children over the age of 3 years. While on the playground I observed the gate was not closed or locked indicating that no inspection was conducted prior to the children leaving the classroom for outside play time. While I was in the office with the director the educator from the infant classrooom came to the door of the office holding one infant. This left two infants in the classroom with no adequate supervision. A child in the toddler classroom was left on the playground as the educators brought the rest of the class inside the classroom. There was another teacher on the playground with the preschool class but they were not responsible for the supervision of the toddler and the child was too young to be integrated into that classroom. Proper menus were not posted in area of the facility. The posted menu is dated for January 2025. CCR&R representative was on site at the facility while lunch was being served. The children were served a tukey sandwich and pretzels. There were no vegetable or fruits served with the meal. There was no mention of milk being served with the meal.
