Staff and children were outside doing a gardening activity in an area that was not part of the fenced in playground. Staff brought a small group of children back inside the building, while two other staff members and the remaining children stayed outside. One child was seen at the front of the building, not supervised by staff. 1240-04-01-.11 Supervision (1) Supervision Procedures a.) To ensure the health and safety of all children enrolled, the management of the child care agency shall maintain a system that enables all children to receive a level of supervision that is appropriate to their age and their developmental, physical and mental status. The child care agency staff shall know where children in their care are at all times, be aware of their activities, and be able to intervene appropriately.
