Summary of Complaint follow up investigation Visit The visit conducted today included monitoring of the agency's compliance with Licensing Rules and Regulation and complaint. Technical Assistance Provided: 1. LC showed how to use the Ctrl F feature in the rules to look up specific words. 2. LC discussed what records are needed for the agency and offered a TAM referral to help with ensuring records are maintained. 3. LC reviewed the agency's parent handbook and policies. A TAM referral will be completed to help organized these to follow licensing rules. 4. LC shared information about the necessity of roller/flipper signs for all infants in cribs. Educators reported they understand and will get it posted soon. 5. LC observed and educator eating in the room and gave TA about eating during breaks or when food is also available to children. Educators and assistant director reported they understand. 6. We reviewed Bactraks and there are some other volunteers listed. LC suggested that if some volunteers are background checked all should be. If any violations were received, details can be observed in the compliance details section of the visit along with corresponding corrective action plans. LC reminded educators that food for children should not be out for more than 15 minutes. 4. LC reminded the director to ensure her LC knows about any closures. 5. See Below for Detailed Information Observation: All 3 teachers were observed on their phones during lunchtime in Toddler 1 class when they were in charge of supervising 1240-04-01-.11 Supervision & 1240-04-01-.13 Food and Food service Corrective Action: Director will speak to Educators on phone policy and meal time supervision policy. Phones will not be allowed to be used by the Educators in charge of supervising. If there are 3 staff members, 2 will supervise and the 3rd will enter information into brightwheel on classroom tablets. Meal time supervision plan will be revised to add that staff may not be on phones during mealtime and any other time unless using brightwheel (no brightwheel during lunch).
