The legal entity must arrange for all facility staff responsible for the supervision of children to participate in a minimum of 2 hours of in person training provided by ELRC staff regarding appropriate discipline practices for children with challenging behaviors.
During an interview on 3/7/2025 Staff person #1 admitted to placing child #1 (DOB see LIS code sheet) in a toddler sized chair with a snap on tray to keep child #1 from kicking and hurting other children and staff members. Staff person #1 stated that child #1 was in the chair for several minutes until the child's parent arrived to pick up the child from the facility. The incident occurred on 2/26/2025. Staff person #1 also admitted to previously holding child #1 on their lap and placing their leg around the child in an attempt to get child #1 to calm down. Staff person #1 stated that while child #1 was being held on their lap, child #1 would "thrash around and try to head butt" staff person #1.
