The staff person shall know the names and whereabouts of the children in his assigned group. The staff person shall be physically present with the children in his group on the facility premises and on facility excursions off the facility premises.
PROVIDER SELF REPORTED THAT STAFF #1 TOOK A SMALL GROUP OF CHILDREN FROM THE OUTDOOR PLAY AREA TO THE BATHROOM. AFTER MAKING SURE ALL CHILDREN WERE ACCOUNTED FOR, TWO CHILDREN GOT NTO A SCUFFLE. DURING THE SCUFFLE OTHER CHILDREN RAN TO THE EXTERIOR DOOR CAUSING STAFF #1 TO HURRY TO KEEP THEM IN VIEW,AT THAT TIME, ANOTHER CHILD IN THE REAR OF THE LINE STEPPED OUT AND WENT BACK INTO THE BATHROOM. STAFF WAS UNAWARE THAT THE CHILD WENT BACK UNTIL THE CHILD RETURNED TO THE GROUP DURING THE COUNT.
