An acceptable plan of correction was received stating the correction would be implemented by 8/1/25. An inspection occurred on 8/11/25. The equipment must be anchored firmly and be in good repair. The operator shall obtain more loose-fill impact absorbing material to bring the depth into compliance with the recommendations of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. This date of correction will be when more loose-fill surfacing has been added to the playground.
At the time of the inspection, the mulch surfacing under the smaller, embedded climber with a 4-foot fall height only had 2 inches of loose fill mulch. There was no measurable loose-fill surfacing under the swings that had a fall height of 87 inches. There was only 4.5 inches of loose fill wooden mulch under the large, embedded climber that had a fall height of 84". These pieces of embedded equipment require there to be 9 inches of loose fill material.
