Staff persons and volunteers shall receive training in maintenance of smoke detectors, the duties of facility persons during a fire drill and during a fire and the use of the facility's fire extinguishers, not including discharge of the fire suppressant agent.

During the renewal inspection, certification representative observed the protective surface covering did not meet the recommendations of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. The facility had embedded equipment in their play space. The equipment was not mounted over enough mulch to meet the requirements of the USCPSC, the mulch was less than 6 inches in depth.
